The creators of the original 990 made it their mission to develop the ultimate running shoe. The USA-made 990v6 honours this vision with a range of performance-based upgrades. The typical midfoot saddle has been eliminated from the upper, allowing the pigskin and synthetic overlays to seamlessly flow from heel to toe over the mesh underlay. This results in a sleek, streamlined appearance. The greatest transformation, however, can be felt on the inside. The inclusion of FuelCell midsole cushioning allows the evolution of the 990 to be experienced, not just seen.
